Many individuals have some trouble with their mood. Some people feel down much of the time, in a way that is just not acceptable. Perhaps they are crying much more than they would like, or sleeping too little or too much. Others are more moody, and have either abrupt mood swings, or milder ones, in response to relationship stressors.
There are a number of causes and kinds of treatment for mood problems. Sometimes a few sessions of ‘talk therapy’ will do, with the focus on how a person thinks, and how their thinking contributes to their maladaptive mood patterns. Some people need someone to listen and help them explore their triggers to their mood problems.
